This can be a confusing time for those ACTIVE on the wait list
and ready... some people on the wait list are:
---Not ready till spring or a set date.
---Want a Male, Female or either.
---Want a light, dark or parti colour
---Want an outgoing puppy, or a calmer puppy.
---Want a smaller or larger pup.
---Want a certain Pedigree parents.
ALL of the above factor into the wait list,
When pups are born, if you have a deposit and application, then you can show interest on 3 pups. 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices.
If your name is Bold and underlined, we are in contact
and working with you and KNOW you are ready.
When a litter is born,
PLEASE show interest as it helps us get a feel for what you like. All on wait list, can show interest, your name will be pencilled in, if you see a name go in front of yours, then that person has applied before you.
Pups are not reserved and secured till after 3-4 weeks,
at which time, pups can be selected and secured.

After you KNOW your breeder exists,
still ... do NOT send a deposit,
until you make sure she is knowledgeable on what she is doing,

and can PROVE home raised, crate trained, and there is NO INBREEDING

and that Both Parents are Vetted and Certified to Be Healthy to breed, WE do Dentition,
Eyes, Heart, Patella's. on All breeding dogs, and certify the results online for $10.
BEWARE of the breeder that SAYS she tests, but doesn't have any Links to Prove Passses.
beware of the breeder that will not let you visit their Residence outdoors.

The breeder SHOULD have pup crate trained

and tolerating his crate by 9 weeks, to avoid separation Anxiety.

The pup should be used to being held, groomed, nails, (ask for a demo from 6' away)

IS She Raising her litters, or letting them raise themselves,

................ Girls ... or ... Boys ....................
..In the havanese breed, there are no major differences in the Looks or the Personalities of the boys or girls; they are just Bright, Happy, Loving and always Ready to Please you.
Boys are usually but not always a little larger than Girls.
​
Their friendly social temperaments + very Loving, Caring dispositions, make any havanese a lovely companion....
Both will thrive on your Love and Attention.
​
We find slight differences;
in the boys, where they love you no matter what,
and the girls they just wanna be loved.
​
The Girls can be a bit more demanding, as they expect you to do something for them, I love you... You love me...
​
Girl Puppies seem to have their own agenda.( nuff said Lol )
Boy Puppies seem to just enjoy your company, and as with most males, you just tell them how cute they are, and pat them on the head and they will do anything for you.

Some say the girls are more stubborn.
​

................5% of people are interested in our HP Home placement program, Caregiver, guardian. With this program, you need to live in the Cowichan Valley or close. You get a puppy, twice as fast, and you get pick of the litter female. This is usually a puppy one of us, wanted to personally keep, and she will remain in the breeding program, coming back 1 to 3 times to have a litter of pups, and each time you are refunded / compensated.
